Our medical pedicurists treat skin and nail problems requiring specialist expertise and, where necessary, work in collaboration with a podiatrist.

When can podiatry care help?
Rondom Pedicures provides medically necessary and complex foot care for people who require specialist expertise. For example, in cases of diabetes, rheumatism, reduced sensation or reduced blood circulation in the feet, vulnerable feet or an increased risk of foot ulcers.
A visit to a medical chiropodist at Rondom may be appropriate if you:
- have diabetes, rheumatism or any other condition that makes your feet vulnerable;
- is at increased risk of minor cuts or poorly healing wounds;
- have a reduced sensation or reduced blood flow in your feet;
- has skin or nail problems that require specialist medical expertise;
- has a care profile requiring medical foot care;
- due to your health condition, it is not safe for you to visit a regular chiropodist.
Do you have no medical condition or increased risk of foot wounds? If so, a medical pedicure is usually not necessary. For routine foot care, such as cutting nails, removing calluses or general maintenance, you can visit a regular pedicurist.
Skin and nail complaints
Problems with the skin or toenails can be painful and cause difficulties when walking or wearing shoes. At Rondom Pedicures, we focus primarily on conditions that require medical expertise, for example due to vulnerable feet, a medical condition or an increased risk of minor injuries.
A treatment with our medical pedicurist may be suitable for:
- painful or recurring skin and nail problems;
- ingrown, thickened or abnormal nails requiring extra care;
- calluses, corns or pressure sores, combined with sensitive feet or an increased risk of minor injuries.

Recurring foot problems
A visit to a medical chiropodist at Rondom may be appropriate if you:
- suffer repeatedly from ingrown or thickened nails;
- recurring pressure sores, calluses or corns, combined with an increased risk;
- if, due to a medical condition, you are unable to look after your feet safely yourself;
- if you notice any sores, redness, pressure marks or other changes to your feet;
- are unable to access standard chiropody care due to your health condition.
Chronic conditions
With certain medical conditions, your feet may require extra care. Changes in blood circulation or sensation in your feet can increase the risk of foot ulcers. A medical pedicurist takes this into account during treatment and works in accordance with the guidelines appropriate to your situation.
Pedicure care may be suitable for people with:
- a chronic condition such as diabetes or rheumatism;
- cancer;
- reduced blood flow;
- an increased risk of foot ulcers.
Regular check-ups and treatment help to keep your feet healthy and detect any changes at an early stage.

Sometimes more is needed than just chiropody care. That is why, when necessary, our medical chiropodists work together with other healthcare professionals at Rondom. Examples include podiatrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists or other practitioners.
By ensuring that care is well co-ordinated, you will receive the support that suits your situation and the quality of your foot care will be guaranteed.
