Walking comfortably thanks to podiatry
Walking, standing and moving are important in everyday life. Yet many people only realise how much they take these things for granted when they start to have difficulties. You may experience symptoms whilst walking, exercising or working. Or you may find that moving around takes more effort than it used to.
Through podiatry, we help people who want to stand, walk and move more comfortably. Together, we’ll look at what support best suits your symptoms, situation and goals.
What do we offer?
Through podiatry, we assess and manage conditions that affect the ability to move comfortably.
We look not only at the area where you are experiencing symptoms, but also at factors that may influence how you stand, walk and move.
Depending on your situation, support may include, for example:
- research into posture, movement and physical strain;
- advice on daily activities and exercise;
- support for conditions that affect walking or standing;
- support to help people continue to exercise in a more enjoyable and responsible way.
The type of support that is appropriate varies from person to person.

What can you expect?
We’ll start with a discussion about your symptoms, your daily activities and what you’d like to be able to do again. We’ll then assess what support is appropriate.
Every situation is different. That is why we tailor our support to your symptoms, goals and day-to-day functioning. In any case, you can count on:
- personalised attention to your situation;
- an approach that fits in with your day-to-day working life;
- clear explanations and practical advice;
- collaboration with other healthcare providers at Rondom where this adds value.

Collaboration with other healthcare providers
Foot and mobility problems do not always occur in isolation. That is why our podiatrists work alongside other healthcare professionals at Rondom where necessary.
Depending on your situation, this could be, for example, a physiotherapist, lifestyle coach, occupational therapist or other healthcare professional. By working together to assess your symptoms, goals and day-to-day functioning, we provide support tailored to your needs.

Costs and reimbursement
In many cases, podiatry is (partly) covered by supplementary insurance. For some forms of podiatric care, such as medical foot care, reimbursement under basic insurance may be possible.
The cover you are entitled to depends on your circumstances and your health insurance policy. You should therefore always check your policy terms and conditions or contact your health insurer.
