Paramedics’ Quality Register

Our occupational therapists work in accordance with the professional standards applicable to occupational therapy. All our occupational therapists are registered with the Paramedics’ Quality Register. This registration requires them to maintain their professional competence. Our occupational therapists work in accordance with established guidelines and quality standards.

AGB code

In addition, every occupational therapist has their own healthcare provider code (AGB code). This code enables claims to be submitted to the health insurer.

Professional association

Our occupational therapists also comply with the rules set by their professional body, Ergotherapie Nederland. This body sets standards for the quality of care and working practices. There are also clear rules governing the careful handling of personal data. This means you can count on safe and expert care.

Legislation and quality control

In addition to registration in the Paramedics’ Quality Register, there are clear national regulations governing the field of occupational therapy. For example, the title ‘occupational therapist’ is a protected title (BIG Act). Only healthcare professionals who have completed a recognised training programme in occupational therapy may use this title.

We must also comply with statutory requirements for high-quality and safe care. These are set out in the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz). This Act sets out, for example, how we organise care and how we handle complaints.

Training and development

Our occupational therapists actively keep their knowledge and skills up to date. They regularly attend refresher and further training courses and continue to deepen their understanding of their profession.

In addition, the occupational therapists discuss their work with colleagues. This is known as peer consultation or peer review. In this way, we continue to develop ourselves and the care we provide.

Quality in practice

In our day-to-day practice, too, we work in accordance with clear quality standards. We pay close attention to patient safety, hygiene and the careful maintenance of patient records.

We continue to take a critical look at our working methods and are constantly seeking ways to improve the care we provide. In doing so, we use professional guidelines and a code of practice as our basis.
