Medication

At Rondom Psychologen, psychological treatment forms the basis of our support. This means that we use counselling, assessment and other forms of psychological treatment. Medication is not part of the treatment offered by our practice and is therefore not prescribed by us.

Medication
When can medication help?

Sometimes medication can play a complementary role alongside psychological treatment. For example, when symptoms affect mood, concentration or day-to-day functioning. Whether medication is appropriate depends on the individual and the situation.

If, during the course of treatment, it becomes apparent that medication may be helpful, we will discuss this with you. For the assessment and prescription of medication, we always refer you to your GP. Your GP will work with you to determine whether medication is appropriate and can refer you to a specialist if necessary.
