What is your role and what gives you energy in your work?

I work as a podiatrist. In my work, I help people with foot, knee, hip and posture-related problems to move more easily and experience less pain.

What gives me energy is the personal contact with patients and working together to find a suitable solution to their symptoms.

What is your favourite quote, motto or tip to help people get through life more easily?

My favourite saying is: “Good movement starts with a good foundation.”

Our feet carry us every day. By looking after your feet and your body properly, you can often prevent problems and continue to do the things you enjoy. Small changes can sometimes make a big difference.

How can you tell from your work that it really suits you?

I realise that my job really suits me because I enjoy helping people and I like working together to solve problems. It gives me energy to see patients making progress and experiencing fewer symptoms.

What do you do outside of work that people might not expect of you?

I lead a fairly quiet and normal working life, but outside of work I actually enjoy being active and discovering new things. I like doing sport, meeting up with friends, and I enjoy travelling and seeing new places.
