What is your role and what gives you energy in your work?

Occupational therapist. Coaching, guiding and treating people; imparting knowledge; empowering them.

I get a sense of fulfilment when I can fulfil my role effectively and build a rapport with the client, who feels that I am supporting them and that together we are making life a little easier.

How can you tell from your work that it really suits you?

I’m not quite sure yet whether this is really the right fit for me. In practice, there’s a lot of paperwork and red tape involved, which makes the work more difficult and takes up a lot of time.

What do you do outside of work that people might not expect of you?

I mainly ride my motorbike a lot and am doing a research master’s degree, so I’m secretly a bit of a nerd.
