Working with Rondom as a local authority
Healthy residents who can continue to participate: that is where local authorities and Rondom find common ground. We provide accessible care and support that helps people stay healthy, prevent health problems and return to work or participate in society again. For local authorities, this means: less pressure on social services, and residents who can get back on their feet more quickly under their own steam.
Why local authorities choose Rondom
Rondom does not focus on a single complaint, but on the resident as a whole: body, mind and lifestyle in their interplay. It is precisely this broad perspective that makes us a natural partner for local authorities. Many issues within the Social Support Act (Wmo), the Participation Act and the social sector are linked to health: someone who cannot work due to back pain, someone who is struggling with stress, someone who is lonely and therefore exercises less.
With over 180 locations throughout the Netherlands, we are close at hand, accessible and able to respond quickly. We work together with GPs, neighbourhood teams and other local organisations to ensure that residents are not sent back and forth between different services. And through the Rondom Foundation, we ensure that even residents who cannot afford healthcare still receive the support they need.
What we offer
- Accessible, community-based care, with direct links to GPs and local social care teams, so that residents are quickly directed to the right place
- A comprehensive, integrated approach, in which physiotherapy, psychology, lifestyle and other disciplines work together to promote participation, reintegration and wellbeing
- Contributing to accessible healthcare for all residents, including through the Rondom Foundation, which enables care for people who cannot afford it themselves
Sharing knowledge and working together
Tackling health and participation in isolation from one another does not work. That is why we are keen to work alongside local authorities on issues relating to prevention, health inequalities and labour market participation. We share observations and insights from our practical experience, conduct research into what works, and, together with local partners, develop new forms of care and support that are tailored to the neighbourhood.
Would you like to find out what Rondom can do for your local authority and its residents? We’d be happy to discuss this with you.

We collaborate with organisations both within and outside the healthcare sector. These include healthcare organisations, social organisations, local authorities and health insurers. We also collaborate with educational institutions, knowledge centres and research organisations. These partnerships help us to continue developing healthcare. By working together on knowledge, research and innovation, we gain a better understanding of what works in practice. Where possible, we share this knowledge with our partners, so that together we can reach more people and help them lead happier lives, both mentally and physically.
