Collaborating with Rondom as an educational institution

Tomorrow’s good healthcare professionals learn not only in the lecture theatre, but above all through practical experience. Rondom offers that practical experience: a broad, multidisciplinary organisation in which students and lecturers gain experience that extends beyond a single discipline. For vocational colleges, universities of applied sciences, universities and other educational institutions, Rondom is a partner with whom to collaborate, whether it concerns work placements, guest lectures or contributing ideas to a study programme.

Why educational institutions choose Rondom

At Rondom, various disciplines work together on a daily basis: physiotherapy, psychology, lifestyle counselling, occupational therapy and more. Students undertaking work placements with us see what healthcare looks like in practice when you look not just at your own field of expertise, but at the whole person. This is in line with how healthcare is evolving, and it prepares students for how they will actually work in the future.

Furthermore, learning and development are deeply ingrained in our organisation. Through our own Rondom Learning Community, we make a systematic investment in training, support and knowledge-sharing. We are also keen to utilise that experience and infrastructure in our collaboration with educational institutions.

What we offer

  • Work placements and apprenticeship positions, spread across our sites throughout the Netherlands, where students gain a broad insight into healthcare practice
  • Visiting lectureship and practical input, whereby our healthcare professionals share their knowledge and experience in your lessons or curriculum
  • Contributing ideas on training programmes, from developing new curricula to refining existing courses based on practical needs

Sharing knowledge and working together

We believe that education and practice reinforce one another. That is why we are keen to work alongside educational institutions: on the content of courses, on how best to prepare students for the workplace, and on how we can work together to ensure there are enough well-trained healthcare professionals for the future. We are happy to share experiences and insights from our own Learning Community with you.

Would you like to explore how your educational institution and Rondom can work together? We’d be delighted to discuss this with you.

Our partners

We collaborate with organisations both within and outside the healthcare sector. These include healthcare organisations, social organisations, local authorities and health insurers. We also collaborate with educational institutions, knowledge centres and research organisations.  These partnerships help us to continue developing healthcare. By working together on knowledge, research and innovation, we gain a better understanding of what works in practice. Where possible, we share this knowledge with our partners, so that together we can reach more people and help them lead happier lives, both mentally and physically.

    Our vision on partnership

In a partnership, we work together towards shared goals, with clear agreements and scope for everyone’s expertise. In this way, we build a network centred on health, in which we work together to improve health and wellbeing. By bringing together knowledge, experience and perspectives, we create cohesion. In this way, we organise care not as separate components, but as a single, integrated whole. Always based on what people really need in their daily lives.

    How we shape partnerships

A partnership requires a shared vision and clear agreements. We deliberately choose partnerships that fit in with our way of working and are focused on the long term. Within a partnership, we work together as equals. Both parties make an active contribution and take responsibility for the shared goal. By sharing knowledge and learning together, we ensure that our actions are well-coordinated and actually work in practice.  In this way, we build partnerships that contribute to accessible, appropriate and reliable healthcare – care that is organised around people’s everyday lives and helps them to stay healthy and continue to function well.
