Around the table: the discussion on diabetic foot complications

**On Tuesday 14 May, the digital round-table discussion on diabetic foot complications took place, organised by Rondom Podotherapeuten and St. Antonius Hospital, in collaboration with Gelderse Vallei Hospital in Ede and Elkerliek Hospital in Helmond. This online discussion brought together a diverse group of specialists and patients to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers.**

During this interactive session, the care of patients with diabetic foot complications was discussed in detail. Insight was provided into what a secondary care setting looks like and which specialists are involved. In addition, the various treatment options and the challenges involved were discussed. Viewers were able to ask questions via the live chat and engage directly with the experts.

The right care in the right place

An important part of the discussion was the positive impact of preventive foot care. Although many wounds can be prevented, the specialists emphasised that the right care in the right place is still essential for those wounds that cannot be prevented.

This discussion provided an opportunity to share a great deal of knowledge and experience with one another, which is very important for improving the quality of care for people with diabetic foot complications.
