  • About Rondom Podotherapeuten

Rondom Podotherapeuten employs more than 100 general, diabetes, paediatric and sports podiatrists, ultrasound technicians, movement scientists and clinical epidemiologists. They are supported by a scientific team and a front and back office staff of around 75 people, comprising laboratory technicians, management, telephone operators, the accounts department and a PR team, amongst others.

We are an ambitious and enthusiastic company where we work in an informal atmosphere. Our podiatrists come mainly from the Netherlands, but also from Belgium, Spain and South Africa. Foreign podiatrists at Rondom often live together in flats, for example in Heemskerk and Zoetermeer. As an organisation, we are known for being enthusiastic, dynamic and collegial, and alongside our work, we place great importance on team spirit and relaxation! That’s why we do lots of fun things together, such as parties, dinners and trips abroad.

  • Moving to the Netherlands

Working and moving abroad is, of course, very exciting, but it can be a bit daunting too! That’s why we’ll make sure to guide you properly. When you join our team, you’ll be assigned a mentor who’ll help you with everything: from finding a place to live, arranging health insurance and a Dutch debit card, to showing you around the company and introducing you to your colleagues.

Don’t worry about the language! Dutch people speak English well and you’ll quickly pick up Dutch through the language classes we offer.

    • This depends on your qualifications and personal circumstances. During the application process, we’ll explain what is required to work in the Netherlands and guide you through the process if recognition is needed.

    • No. A good command of English is sufficient to get started. We also offer Dutch language courses, so you can gradually learn the language whilst you work. Eventually, you will need to speak and work in Dutch.

    • We help you find suitable accommodation before you move to the Netherlands. Many of our international colleagues live together when they first arrive, making it easier to settle in and get to know one another.

    • Yes. We will guide you through the process. From finding somewhere to live and sorting out practical matters to helping you settle into your new job, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

    • Yes. If you’re nearing the end of your podiatry degree, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Together, we’ll discuss when you expect to graduate and when you could start working at Rondom.

    • You will conduct your own consultations, examine and treat patients, make podiatric insoles and work with the latest techniques. You will also collaborate with colleagues and other healthcare professionals whenever necessary. Every day is different.

    • Of course. We’d be happy to tell you more about our organisation, the role and what it’s like to live and work in the Netherlands. Feel free to contact us or apply for an informal introduction.
