More about me

What is your role and what gives you energy in your work?

I am a diabetes podiatrist and the contact person for care groups at RondOm Podotherapeuten. My passion lies in complex diabetic foot conditions and all the associated issues. The creativity and collaboration often required to help people remain mobile make every day a challenge. The connection and interaction between disciplines to find the best solution for every problem motivates me to go that extra mile.

What is your favourite quote, motto or tip to help people get through life more easily?

Why make things difficult when we can do it together?

How can you tell from your work that it really suits you?

I get a lot of energy from working together for the patient’s benefit. Joint consultations in secondary care to treat the most complex foot conditions. But also from my contacts with, amongst others, the care groups to optimise primary care and, from there, improve collaboration.

What do you do outside of work that people might not expect of you?

Playing the trumpet in the brass band, enjoying a good meal
