More about me

What is your role and what gives you energy in your work?

I am the general manager at the Rondom Podiatry Centre. In this role, on the one hand, I ensure that the foundations are sound – such as making sure processes run smoothly, ensuring the team can work effectively and that care is well organised. On the other hand, I spend a lot of time looking ahead. What is needed to keep medical foot care strong, future-proof and accessible? I get a real buzz from spotting new opportunities and working with others to explore how we can organise care more effectively. I think it’s brilliant not just to leave ideas on paper, but to actually turn them into something tangible. Sometimes that means doing things differently from the norm and simply having the courage to get started.

What is your favourite quote, motto or tip to help people get through life more easily?

People should trust their instincts more.

Sometimes you actually already have a sense of which step is right for you, without being able to back it up with concrete evidence. It’s perfectly fine to trust that feeling!

How can you tell from your work that it really suits you?

I notice this particularly in the flow that develops when I’m building something together with others. This gives me a lot of energy. At the same time, I’m a real people person and I think it’s important that the team feels seen, heard and properly involved. That combination suits who I am and how I like to work.

What do you do outside of work that people might not expect of you?

Sitting still isn’t really my thing. Going to the cinema or lying on a sun lounger – that’s not my cup of tea. I enjoy keeping busy, whether it’s doing odd jobs round the house, running long distances or going on day trips.
